Tom: I've looked back at the mails that were generated since you posted yours. Indeed, they are more than one. Its as well to remember that members of groups such as this are spread across different time zones and its possible we didnt buy a printer in your location. Some of us bought ours in Europe with different standards, instructions and requirements. Worth bearing in mind for the future perhaps. The fact that you got any replies at all suggests a camaraderie across different continents in the membership of this group that you would not find in others. You might not get a reply of the same quality from those in only your location.
I understand what its like to see mails from people that are not in your location, that mean absolutely nothing at all because it happens a lot on the internet. You need information that is generated from somewhere near where you are located dont you? Yes, that's the way it often is not. Frustrating isnt it. You dont say what make of printer you have, nor if its within its warranty. We have to give you credit for already realising that because you havent used your printer for a week or more, its probably missing all that activity. I have thought since to ask, when you returned, did you run any head cleaning and aligning tests first before you asked it to perform a huge print task? WSe know you better than not to have done so. Did you run a print test at all? Did you do that before you posed the question here? Did you run a print job and get everything in red or blue or orange, and not black. You didnt say? All that is there for us, what ever printer we purchase, though you dont say about that either. I hope you get your trusted workhorse printer working, because I know what its like to have it decide not to job we want when we want it to do it.
