It all depends on the specs on the machine. For XP it probably needs to be at least a P4, with at least 256 M of ram. The size of the hard drive is a factor too, The XP Windows folder alone on my machine is more than 3 Gigabytes. Then there are the Windows components in C:\Program Files.
