I've got to hold on to a computer - not this one - for another 6 months or so.
I'm having registry problems with it. That is, when I can got on Windows 95 it is in safe mode. Apparently, it can't copy registry retore from backup on the hard drive to get me on correctly. The one time I can get on with 95, I try to use a registry cleaner product. However, because of some .dll missing file, I can't run a registry fixer either. I tried scandisk but it won't let me get through the entire disk for fixing. I know I have to kiss the machine good-bye, but not now. And I don't want to get a new hard drive for this obsolete machine. I have 95 disks available when I loaded them on this machine. Is there a particular disk from this set I can run to get my registry working ok? I know if I have to reload the entire 95 file, I'll lose what I have on my hard drive. Is there anything I can do besides cussin'. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Most low income households are not online.
