I've done it in Word, but not saved it in WordPerfect format. I worked for a 
Firm that used WordPerfect and remember saving data from home that they could 
access in the office.   I seem to remember there is a format in WordPerfect to 
save to that is compatible, probably the most up to date.  
I am assuming you have set your page to Save as Webpage in File?
