Jim, I have just re-read your post and you state you "have a KVM
switch that eliminates the need for monitor, keyboard and mouse".

Not wishing to appear pedantic but if you have eliminated your
monitor, keyboard and mouse, how do you operate your computer/s ? I
fear that you have fallen into the trap that you would wish others to
avoid.
