First of all, if you install XP for one PC onto another you may not get it activated. That is because her PC will not match the keys provided by your PC when you activated it. Then there is the difference in drivers. Her hardware will probably not match yours and the drivers on your CD will not help on her PC. All the applications that came bundled with her PC can be installed into her PC from her recovery CD without worrying about the old ME or the new XP that you have installed now. You can also install the programs that were bundled on your PC onto hers. When you install a plain XP application to a PC you get only the hardware drivers provided by Microsoft which may leave her PC with poor drivers for her hardware. In that case you will need to explore her old CD to locate and then install her OEM drivers. I'm speaking of Display, Modem, Touchpad etc. drivers. Hope this helps.
