For $50 you could get a new hard drive and you can d/l and use Restoration for free. How many people buying a second hand pc are going to begin by searching for and using recovery software to see what is on it ... your good self excluded of course ;-) Most *normal* people buy the pc, check to see all the hd is clear and get to work installing *normal* and every-day programs and using them.
I don't see what you are trying to prove here, I have stated it is possible and I very much doubt the product you mention can fully restore all the data intact, there is always a degree of corruption.
