There are some transfer systems that claim this is possible but there could be complications and a conflict between the two different OS, W98 and XP. Transfer personal data only forget the programs you would be better to reinstall them. If you haven't got the original MS disk for Word, you can download and install "Open Office" for FREE here: http://www.openoffice.org/ >>2. To copy that data back into your XP WAB put the floppy in the drive, open OE, open Address Book and click on File-->Import, browse to your floppy drive, select the file you just exported to the floppy and click OK to import the data into your new Address Book 4. Anything I should be careful of? Not really, but the standard proceedure for these operations is to create a new folder on your new XP pc called maybe "Old W98 files" and transfer all your W98 My Documents folder to this new folder on your XP pc. You may have personal data on your old pc stored outwith the My Docs folder and if so transfer all this data to the new folder on XP, you can sort it all out later by transferring it to the desired folders on your new XP pc.
