Figures. overwriting highlighted words is the default.
I use an email program called "Bat", and the commands are on the
bottom of the screen when I "reply" to an email. Insert command
deletes the letters and overwrite replaces them when they are
highlighted. You may have hit the insert tab by mistake.
look around for those controls on your email program.

Evidently, it has cured itself..I booted the system and it is back to
normal..what it was I don't know but it drove me up a wall..lol..Now I am
just curious as to what caused it..but where do I find the below cursor
