I have never bought a monitor that was being sold as professional grade. I 
wouldn't pay any attention to that anyway. What's in a name?

Screen savers have two purposes these days. One is that the images can be 
interesting, even pretty. my newest computer came with a great Space Theme 
and SS. The second reason is to use a SS when others might see or have 
access your computer, as in an office. If you choose a password SS then you 
can keep your office mates from seeing or using your computer.

At least is used to be. They are not necessary for that any longer as fac as 
I can see.

And no screen saver will help with that. Nor will a power saver that 
hybernates, etc.
Of course if you want to use hybernate and it doesn't cause lock ups for 
you, then go ahead and use them. I just choose not to, and I don't think 
that this will cause ANY problems.
