Sounds like the camera is adjusted for more mega pixels, that is more detail. You should be able to adjust your camera.
You generally uninstall programs one of two ways. Go start/programs and then lay your arrow on the program name. You may see uninstall there. If not go start/control panel/add or remove programs. Look for the program there and you should be able to uninstall it.
