Just a couple days ago I downloaded "Windows Live One care". The
article first appeared in the "Windows XP" magazine edition # 34
currently on the shelves.
Windows Live One Care is a new creation by Microsoft that was kept
rather secret and even the magazine was not familiar with it. This
security suite software might have been originally designed to ship with
Vista, but, Microsoft has just now announced it will NOT ship with Vista
but will be offered for sale to it's customers. Right now it is on free
trial but will sell for the price of $49 per. year for three PCs. If
downloaded
and tried now, users can purchase the suite for $29 during the month of
April only. It is a long download and best done on DSL or WIFI.
This is a modern comprehensive suite designed to provide complete security
protection for your PC. It includes Virus Protection, Firewall,
Antyspyware,
and a list of tools. When it installs it appears to override the Windows
Security Center. This is a One GUI suite that continuously monitors your PC
and is set up to advise you if your protection is less than optimal. The
suite
can be opened from an icon in the notification area. It appears to have
advanced features not found in other suites and deserves a close
examination.
