OS: Windows 9x Boot into MS-DOS and choose CD-ROM support. Extract a copy of IFSHLP.SYS into C:\Windows.
See for more information: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/139063/en-us and how to extract files from your Windows CD. If copying the file and rebooting does not work, then initiate Windows 98 setup from the CD-ROM and reinstall Windows over itself. --- In [email protected], [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > How do I fix this error??? > > This is the error I get when the computer starts. > > The following file is missing or corrupted: C"\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS > WININIT.EXE: MISSING UNABLE TO LOAD > > Press any key to continue: I press any key and get this message: > > The file is missing or corrupted C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD TYPE THE NAME > OF THE WINDOWS LOADER > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > If you have any questions or problems with any aspect of this site, please feel free to contact me directly [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please do not post personal issues directly to the group.
