Firstly, I have had no such problems with Zone Alarm and I would continue using it. If you want to change try Outpost or Sunbelt Kerio. Jetico is rated very highly but I tried it a while back but I found it to be a thorough nuisance in that it stopped virtually everything and did not seem to "remember" my commands.
Kerio here http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio-Download.cfm Outpost here http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1056.html Re the browser display, the fix is simple, just hold down your mouse button on each side of the window or any diagonally opposite corner and drag the window out to full size and it should stay that way when you next open it Rupert O^O--------------- Rupert's Reply To ---------------O^O Last week downloaded update for Zone Alarm(free version) doing this disconnected me from DSL connection. Battled it for 2 days, final fix was to remove ZA and then delete residue files including 2 dll. Am now connected again, however, any internet program accessed thru IE browser comes up in the minimum display mode and have to click on maximize box. Assistance from another group recommended following: right click Internet Explorer shortcut>properties>maximumize, this only maximizes when I open IE, all websites using IE still come up in minimum display. This situation did not exist prior to ZA caused problem. Perhaps, clearing dll files created situation. Thanks for any suggestions. OS is XP-sp2-IE is 6.0 Also lost my ZA firewall and am now depended on the Windows firewall which I guess is barebones.
