This is not really a "techy" question, but I'm hoping someone may know
the answer. It's a minor thing, but here goes....

Using XP Home:

On my work pc, there is no colored box behind the text on my desktop
icons. I like that. I didn't do anything to make it that way, it
arrived that way.

At home, there is a colored square box behind the text. I always have
to change the color to match the background, which hardly ever matches
and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

How can make the background on my icons at home transparent?

Thanks,
Diane
