Hi Skipper I had a similar problem with a camera recently but it turned out that the connection to the camera had not been fully inserted so check that usb and phone connection plugs are inserted correctly.
Failing that leave it connected and re-boot and see if W2000 will detect it. If not you will have to go to Control Panel-->Add Hardware and follow the wizard, if it doesn't detect the camera connection automatically, you will have to click on "Have disk" and insert your software disk which should have all the necessary drivers on it. Rupert O^O--------------- Rupert's Reply To ---------------O^O I need some help hooking a cell phone up to a computer. I ordered a cable and some software."Data Suite with USB cable" The phone is a Motorola V557 I installed the software, and when I hook the cable up to the phone it seems to be detecting a new USB device, but when I click on the My Computer icon there is nothing new. Will it show up somewhere else, or am I not doing something right? I have Windows 2000 I am trying to download some pictures from the phone Thanks....Skipper Avast ye land lubbers!
