When I  try to start MS Office 2003 applications--
Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint,  etc.-- I get the following error

What's wrong?  How do I  correct the problem?




CAUSE
This behavior may occur because of one of the following  reasons:     • You 
have an incomplete Windows _XP_

prompted to after the Windows XP service pack installation process is

computer. Additionally, this  behavior may occur if the following conditions 
are 
true:     • You upgrade the _Microsoft Windows XP_

computer.  • You perform a repair of Windows XP on the  computer.

 
 
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following  methods.
 
 
Method 1
Restart the computer, and then install or  start the Office 2003 programs. 
Generally, you should restart when youreceive a  prompt to do this after you 
install any product or update.  
Method 2
Install the latest Windows XP service  pack from the following Microsoft 
Windows update Web site:  
_http://support.microsoft.com/xpsp2getinstall_

(http://support.microsoft.com/xpsp2getinstall)
If you cannot  successfully install the latest Windows XP service pack or if 
the Web site  reports an error, visit the following Web site for information

Method 3
Manually download and install the  Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1a

Athough the above refers to SP1 the links are for SP2
