Jim:

You know me better than that! You've been around here for long enough to
know that I'm not "ban crazy" -

as a matter of fact I haven't banned many members at all in all the years
this group has been active.

I'm not that selective when it comes to members as long as they follow the
guidelines which are automatically

sent to you upon joining the group. Silk was nasty on several occasions and
I don't put up with that. Silk has

been rude to both Paris and YOU (have you forgotten?).

I attempt to make my decisions wisely and only after reviewing all the
evidence. I also ask members OFF LIST, so

that they can feel free to speak without fearing retaliation of any sort.

I do resent your final statement "Maybe it's about our not having control of
our real lives so we have to be tyrants in Yahoo
groups" I think that was just uncalled for. I stay relatively silent in this
group and attempt to maintain a moderator

role only participating when I feel I have something important to say that
hasn't already been said.

I don't even know why I'm answering to you. This is after all my group and I
do what I feel I need to do. On the other

hand, no one is forced to remain a member and it's not costing you anything,
hence you're not losing anything if you

leave. I guess I will end with the proverbial "you know where the door is.."

I guess my old age is catching up with me. I don't see why Silk was banned,
or was it her. I don't know. I think some owners/admins are getting ban
crazy. I got kicked out of one group and I had no idea why. What ever
happened to a first warning and a clue what the problem is. Maybe it's about

our not having control of our real lives so we have to be tyrants in Yahoo
groups.
