Hello Bob,

this is the kind of question that is hard to answer without the model 
number of the router. Your models manual will have _*exact*_ directions 
for doing this.

To give you an idea of the type of information required, here is text 
from a page of _my_ wireless router manual below. It is a part of 
advanced setup.

The WDS (Wireless Distribution System) provides a means to extend the 
range of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). WDS allows an access 
point to establish a direct link to other access points, and stations to 
roam freely within the area covered by the WDS.

To establish a WDS connection between access points, follow the steps below.
1. Select Enable Repeater.
2. Enter the MAC Address that you are trying to create a WDS link to.
3. Click Apply.
