Hi
All modern monitors are svga or hiher both crt and lcd
it would have to be at least six or severn years old to be only vga which is
only
640 x 480 resolution svga is 800x 600 xga is 1024x768
most monitors go to far higher resolutions
higher mode monitors are backward compatible with lower modes with the
exception of a few special monitors like sun which are a fixed high resolution
hope that answers your question

Hi .....
Believe it or not, I'm a retired Technician, but I wasn't trained on
how to tell the differance between a SVGA and a VGA computer monitor by
looking at it on a sales shelf... I have Win XP, and some of the
software wants a SVGA.. Or are the SVGA's the "flat" LCD ones??
My old monitor changed speed as it booted up, but after a change, I was
expecting a differance in DB-9 connectors, or something else obvious.
Thanks,
Dick
