Hi all..I purchased a new computer a few weeks ago, and part of the package is a free upgrade to Windows Vista. I did a scan on my computer and found that there are some compatability issues with Norton Anti Virus (it won't work with Vista), as well as issues with my IntelliType Pro 2.2, my cordless mouse and Rhapsody. Now I am not sure if I want to do an upgrade. Any opinions out there? I am not sure if it would be worth it or not. tia, Patty ^v^ ^v^ ^v^~~~~ Paris's Reply ~~~~^v^ ^v^ ^v^ Patty I have just got a new computer and once I have installed the programs that I want on it, I am getting rid of the abomination that's known as Norton, I knew it was obtrusive and heavy on resources but I never realised how bad it is. While I don't want it on my computer you must be aware that there they are free Vista compatibility updates available as follows: Norton Internet Security 2006/2007 January 22, 2007 Norton AntiVirus 2006/2007 January 22, 2007 Norton Confidential February 4, 2007 If you purchased any of the above designed for Windows XP operating system you are eligible for a free Windows Vista compatibility upgrade. _http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/themes/vista/compatibility.jsp_ (http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/themes/vista/compatibility.jsp) As for you keyboard and mouse visit the manufacturers site to see if drivers for vista exist. I suppose by Rhapsody you mean the site, and not the model driven development software, for downloading music and video content. You need to contact their technical support division to know more about the update and the release date. You can contact them at 1-866-597-5507. I am going for the Vista upgrade, support for Windows XP appears to be ending April 2009, you are going to have to change over at some stage, might as well do it at little, or no, cost than wait. But this is a matter of personal choice.
