Eraser also adds the Erase Recycle Bin to the rightclick menu of Recycle Bin.
Choosing this option will permanently erase what's in it.

Hi Katrina:
If you read my latest post it might explain. Normally stuff that is emptied
from the recycle bin is not erased from the hard drive. It can still be
retrieved using special applications. To prevent stuff from being retrieved it
must be overwritten. Actually overwritten several times to be absolutely
non-recoverable with high tech processes. In the case we are discussing Dell
may have added an "Erase" feature to the PC that will overwrite the stuff
emptied from the hard drive so that it can no longer be retrieved. This would
be considered a good feature on that PC.
