My word shops do tell you a load of tall tales these days. Replaced the
memory in a HD. Well take you money after finding the drives OK is the game.

Go here to learn about HDs.

If however you took the computer into the shop then he stuck some mare RAM
sticks into it and changed you for them without touching the problem

I suggest you run a restore to a date before this happened.

Start/Programs/Assessories/System Tools.System Restore.

If this dopes not cure it then put the Windows CD in and run the Repair
option from the start up screen.

Your personal files will not be lost by any of these processes.

Subject: [A-1-Computer_Tech] question for the group

a couple of weeks ago my computer started giving me problems, when i
turned it on it tried to power up but acted like it was not getting
enough juice. i took the hard drive in to the repair shop and the guy
said that the memory had gone bad and replaced it(giving me an upgrade
in the process). now i am having problems when i am on the web
sometimes my screen will scroll down really fast without my touching
the mouse, on occasion it will not let me scroll back up. if i shut
down what ever i am doing and then re pull the the web up it is fine.
some times i have to use the window task manager to get out of what
ever i am in. i use avast and have run one virus check since getting
the hard drive back, the test came back clean. any ideas what my
problem is and can i fix it my self or do i need to take it back in?
thanks lyne
