What printer. Make, age etc?

Which Windows version Vista or XP?

If you had a previous printer did you remove its driver/software first?

Did you use the original printer CD to load the driver?

Are you trying to print from, say the Word processor or other place.?

Problem: I can't print

Solutions Attempted: I have un-installed and, re-installed the printer
driver; I have changed USB cables.

My computer acknowledges the printers' existence but, when I try to
print, the command to print does nothing.

Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Christopher

P.S. The printer is plugged in.
