I want you to go to START-CONTROL PANEL-SECURITY CENTER. Click on the arrow at 
the right of the FIREWALL and see how many Firewalls you are using. If you are 
running Norton & Windows Firewall, you will have to de-select one of the 
because they are in conflict with each other. Meanwhile, is this the Norton 
that came with the system? Then you have, I think, 3 month's to use it. the 
choice to uninstall Norton is entirely up to you the User and use something 
like AVG. Now, you can do this at no cost and be proud that you were able to do 
this yourself.

Norton Removal Tool for Windows 2000/XP/Vista 2008.0.1.19
