I'm not sure I understand that Ian, but I don't type the string, just copy & 
paste from a subject line.  It doesn't always work because some spammers do 
include both but I would say it is about 95% effective.  I use OE as a mail 
client, always meant to convert to Thunderbird but never got around to it but I 
don't use web mail generally apart from one or two spam trap addresses so I am 
not sure if such filters can be set up in webmail

BTW I think your ISP is or was TalkTalk who have bought your least favourite 
ISP

AS putting the A-1....... In the Subject line is long  a typing task each
time do you not think a simpler way would be to sent up a filter of senders
to compare members/non members at Yahoo end.
