Ok, if your CD drive isn't working then there isn't really much you can 
do until you get a new one - or get it working somehow. 
Your Acer should have come with a recovery or restore disk.  If you want 
to restore your computer (you will lose "all" the data an programs 
you've added since you bought it) try this:

Reboot and hold down the Alt key while continually tapping the F10 key.  
This should get you to a menu asking if you want to restore the hard 
drive.  It'll ask you to insert the eRecovery CD (or whatever it's 
called) into the drive.  Then just follow the prompts to erase the Hard 
Drive and restore to a state like the day you bought the laptop.
