I know ya cant use headset and desktop at the same time.I use one at 
different times. i have desktop speakers. the problem is not sound 
coming out its sound going in. i played around with the mixer and 
control panel everything. before i posted that didnt solve the 
problem. here maybe i need to post what everest reported on my system.
