Do a "System Restore" and see what happens. Go back a week.
 Thank you, Ivan

pack 3

Windows XP Service Pack 3 SUCKS!
I updated my system with the Service Pack 3 for WindowsXP- My system
took so long to load anything-After installing Service Pack 3.

I went to the add/remove programs and removed it and then my computer
seemed to run better then it has since before- I decided to go ahead
and try to update it again then it was even worse then it was - I ended
up backdating with Norton GO-Back as the XP Service Pack 3 was not
showing in the add/remove programs- I was up until 2 am trying to get
my system back to be at least usable.

When I go to Windows Update it shows that the update has already been
downloaded - and ready to be installed.

any suggestions?
