Is it a wireless network? Here's a list of some things that could
normally go wrong:

Look at the apps running in the background. One of them could be
conflicting with your connection. Go to Start, Run, type Msconfig. Click
the Startup tab. Go to this site and look up every checked item to see
if it is necessary to have it running all the time:
http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php You may even find that you've got
some nasty adware or spyware running.

Of course run a scan for malware and viruses.

If it's wireless and you're using a USB Network adapter try plugging the
adapter into a different USB slot - especially if you've got it plugged
into a hub - much better to plug them into a direct connection to the
motherboard.

Good luck,
Donk
