Well the article has not been followed correctly because I have it on a pen
and a CD and it does boot from either but the article did say you need an XP
Widows set up CD. Do you not have one or could you borrow one?

That seems to be the problem, I cannot get it to change directories from the
A:\> prompt.
I have tried the usual CD \ and it just reverts to A:\>

The laptop doesnt have a boot from USB (only HDD / Floppy / CD) I have
followed the
magazine article and have created a DVD.
 
Putting this in the drive returns an error 'your program created a divide
overflow error'
followed by the usual Abort Retry Fail
 
Any other suggestions....PS thanks for all the help so far!
