It would help if you could supply the exact wording of the error
message. Some things that might cause your prob:
Check to see if your hard drive is full - Start, Computer, right-click
your C: drive and choose Properties to check how much free space you have.
Try starting in Safe Mode. If it runs ok in Safe mode, then you likely
have a background program (or driver) that is causing the prob. To get
to Safe Mode, reboot and keep tapping the F8 key till you see the boot
menu. Choose Safe Mode, and try opening some programs from the desktop.
Could be a virus or malware. Run a scan with whatever anti-virus and
anti-malware apps you have.
If you do choose to do a Recovery you just reboot, hold down the Alt
key, and keep tapping F10. That should bring up the Acer Recovery
Utility which will let you restore the notebook to the way it was the
day you bought it. But... EVERYTHING you've added since that day will
be erased!!!! So back up your important data first. You don't need any
disks to do this Recovery.
Good luck,
Donk
