Stephanie, Did you right click the box and view the picture. If it doesn't show then the picture is no longer there. This happens many times. If it does show, go back and right click and copy image location. You can copy it to word pad or something and then. Check to see if your firewall may be restricting your view of the pictures. If so, you can add the site to your allowed sites. use Zone Alarm and, when this happens, I go to the privacy page and add the location to be allowed.
Seems like a lot to do to see a picture but, for example, when doing a tutorial as I do oftentimes the instructions or setting are shown in a screen shot and are essential to doing the work. When I write tutorials I always show the settings along with the screen shot for people who can't view the pictures. Of course, I may not be hearing your question right. Is this on all pictures you try to access or just on emails?
