If you navigate to C:\Documents & Settings\...... (your
ID)\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates and RENAME the file
Normal.dot to something like Normal.old (just in case things go wrong)
- the next time you fire up MS Word it will create a new template
Normal.dot and that usually fixes these funnies.
