To me it is about making it easier for the readers. Bottom posting 
requires the user to keep scrolling down to find the reply. I sort of 
fibbed about how a I feel about where people place their replies. 
Bottom posting IS annoying to me. First I have to look at what the 
writer has said, then try to figure out what part of the message he is 
replying to. Often I have no clue, so I just delete the message and 
move on.
