Your old disk "might" work with Vista. But you might not even need it.
XP and Vista are pretty good about simply automatically finding and
installing the needed drivers for internet connections. Have you tried
just booting up to see if Vista finds the connection? Lots of times
the software they give you is really just a proprietary program like a
browser toolbar with their advertising on it, and not needed anyway.

But anyway, if necessary, you can just go to the Bellsouth support site
and download whatever Vista software you need for your DSL connection.
I'm sure you're not their first customer to upgrade to Vista, so they
surely have the software available for download. They have a 24 hour
free (I think) support line at 1-888-321-2375 (I think that's a national
number - if not you'll have to find the number that covers your area).
Call them up and ask them.

As for other hardware and Vista... if the device doesn't work with Vista
(if Vista doesn't "find" the device and install the drivers), then you
have to go to the device maker's website (support section) and see if
there are Vista drivers available for the model number you have. Often
they will, but sometimes (especially with scanners for some weird
reason) the company just won't write new drivers for Vista. If you're
really determined and wanna spend a lot of time trying to hack a work
around - you might get the device to work. But usually if the maker
doesn't support Vista you might as well throw the device away (or donate
it, or sell it if you can).

Good luck,
Donk
