Some times you've gotta reformat mp3 players just like you'd reformat a
computer hard drive. But it's a lot simpler to format mp3 players - but
you still will lose "everything" that's on it.
Try this... hook it up to your PC, got to Start, and right-click My
Computer. Click "open" and you should see your player listed there with
your other drivers. Right- click on it and you should see an option to
"Format". If the option isn't there look around the other tabs and
menus until you find it.
You can also go to the Samsung Support site and look up instructions on
how to reformat it - I'm sure they're there, it's a very common fix for
the players. I've had to reformat all my players at least once in their
lifetimes.
Once you get it reformatted just copy all your music back onto it and
hopefully you'll be good to go.

Good luck,
Donk
