If you understand routing you can reuse it,  but if you don't understand router 
addressing it is a paperwieght

If it's a wireless router it can probably be used as just an access 
point - but you don't really need one since I'm sure that comcast gave 
you a wifi modem/router when you signed up with them. If the Westell 
router is also a combo modem/router, then it likely will only work with 
Bellsouth as a modem - not any other service (but I might be wrong about 
that). If you ever go back to Bellsouth I imagine they'll give you a 
newer router. So I don't see why you'd wanna hang on to it.
