When you prepare a zip file it is just copying the original files and you don't lose them. You also have the zip file on your computer and can extract the files from that. I've been using Winzip for years and was glad to get the info Ivan sent. I've always had trouble figuring out how to zip files. Mostly use it to unzip. Good luck.
