Go ahead and allow Adobe to install.  You've "need" a reader installed 
these days because so many documents and websites require it.
So go ahead and allow the Active X to run - Adobe is totally 
legitimate.  I don't think you'll have to disable your AV, but if 
necessary... do it just long enough to get the reader installed.
