I have an internal CD Rom that should be able to be configured on start up. But the boot option lists a USB CDROM as a booting device even though I don't have one. When set for USB CD it just boots up the installed OS from HDD. Apparently since I don't have a USB Connected CD rom it doesn't recognize the internal CD rom. May have to use the F12 to see what is available and maybe I can find the CD rom listed and select that. I don't believe I ever came across a USB listed CD rom as per bootup. Not sure, but I believe external USB CD roms can be purchased reasonably if needed. PM Hi: Just as a bit of input.........Most, if not all, newer PCs will recognize a USB CDRom. A lot of new laptops and all netbooks to day have no internal CDRom, and depend on external USB media for recovery software.
