Someone understand this stuff?...
I want to run video from my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro video card's S-video output
jack to my TV (flatscreen; non-HD). The S-video jacks on the back of the TV are
4-pin s-video jacks, not 7-pin like on the computer's video card. If I were to
get a 4 pin cable to run from the video card to the back of the
TV... is there any video signal that is carried over those 3 additional pins
that I would be missing?...is any signal carried over those 3 other pins?.
Which of these three options will give me best video quality/fidelity on the TV:
1). 4-pin S-video cable from the pc's video card to 4-pin s-video imput jack on
the TV.
2) 7-pin S-video cable from the video card to the single yellow rca-type video
imput jack at the back of the TV.
3) 7-pin S-video cable from the video card to the three individual component
video (Y, Pb, Pr) jacks at the back of TV.
thanks, mike
