Hi - I'm no expert on this subject, but here's the way I understand it... Windows Live Mail is NOT a web based email service (that's what you want if you want to be able to use your email from any computer in the world). WLM is really just the successor to Outlook Express, and is based entirely on your hard drive - but you "can" download your web based email into it - but you can't easily get to your messages from any other computer. Microsoft still has Hotmail (now called Windows Live Hotmail I think), which "is" a web based service. But, after searching a lot, I can't find any way to upload your current OE email and folders into it. So you'd have to just start from scratch, afaik. What I would maybe recommend is that you open a Gmail account (it's totally free). Gmail appears to make uploading your OE messages into it as simple as dragging and dropping the folders. Once you do that, Gmail has many, many features to let you organize the messages any way you want. Plus, Gmail "is" a totally web based service, so all your mail is accessible from any computer. A couple caveats... 1. Gmail has a size limit, but it is huge - 7GB I think. So, unless you've got hundreds of thousands of OE messages, you should be fine. 2. Gmail has a bit of a learning curve. It treats message threads as "conversations", and it's a little tricky to use as first - it's not like most other email clients. But you'll catch on eventually.
