Jucheck isn't a virus or malware. It's a part of Java that automatically checks for Java updates. You don't really wanna uninstall Java because lots of websites require it to view their content. But you should be able to disable the autocheck part so it won't bug you. When does it pop up? Only when you boot? Try disabling Jucheck in your startup folder to prevent it from running at bootup: 1. Go to Start and type MSCONFIG in the search box (on XP type it into the Run box). 2. Click the Startup tab. 3. Look in the list of apps for a mention of Jucheck and un-check it. 4. Click OK, reboot. You'll see a message saying you've made changes - just check the little box to "don't show this message again".
I think that should fix it. If not repost. And mention your version of Windows. Good luck, Donk PS: don't worry, you'll still get notified if you need a Java update when you hit a website that requires it. You can download it then.
