Considering the fact that you jumped it and the light was flashing, sounds like a power fluctuation, either from a dying power source, or something causing a power interruption. Because, A solid green light, along with POST are indicators of a solid power connection. Check the: 1. Socket(in power strip or wall) 2. Power cord(change out for another power cord) 3. Power integrity in motherboard(test the motherboard and CPU individually) 4. Stability of RAM(first check for possible 'chip creep' and reseat the RAM if you have the old style RAM with the chip banks if it is loose, then if it isn't loose test it to see if the RAM is going bad) Maybe you have already done all that.
