Tell me why I should keep the RAM memory sticks? Do they hold information?

What I would do is pull the Hard Drive and [RAM] Memory Sticks and sell the
rest of tthe Laptop on e-Bay. That's what we are preparing to do with the ones
we have here. Meanwhile, you can use the Laptop's Hard Drive as an External, if
you care to do so with the new Computer you have purchased, then sell the rest
on e-Bay. Have a look on e-Bay for that model and condition in order to set
your selling price.

LOL, thank you. I don't have any precioius documents on the hard drive,
although I'd like to destroy it so no one can get anything I might not want
seen by prying eyes. Now do I just take a hammer and smash the hard drive? BTW,
I already bought a new computer at what I think is a reasonable price at Office
Depot and this time yes, I'm learning my lesson, I got a service contract.

I really hate to be the one to tell you this but that model has that issue. Do
a Search for your issue in any Search Engine and you'll see. My friend and I,
we both work on client's PC's and Laptops and we have a few Compaq's laying
around that have the same issue. Furthermore, it is the Motherboard and it is a
known issue! So, snatch out the Hard Drive and retrieve your Documents, Music
and Photos because to replace the Motherboard along with the Service Fee you
can get a nice Laptop outside of that model.

Guys, my notebook just gave out on me. The screen is black. It's a Compaq
Presario CQ61. I was working on it, and boom! the screen went black suddenly. I
pressed the power button and the LED lights flashed 3X and then stopped
flashing. Each time I pressed the power on button, the LED lights flashed 3X.
Then nothing. I took out the battery and tried using a brand new adaptor with
it, again, the lights blinked 3X, then nothing. Black screen. Then I tried the
power button without the battery, and absolutely nothing, no LED lights flashed
at all. Thoughts anyone?
