I think Google is as secure as any other web based company.  I do a lot 
of my banking and shopping online - have online accounts with all my 
credit card companies.  It's more important that "they" are secure than 
Google.  And I'm sure that Google is at least as secure as any of them.  
The thing with Google is that they might tend to use some of your info 
to target advertising to you.  It's harmless (not adware or spyware), 
but some people don't like "any" of their info snooped on.  I don't mind.

I was looking at Ever Note.  It seems like it would work fine.  Note 
making and storing is all it does.  You can download the Android app, 
then download the PC or Tablet apps, and they apparently will all 
auto-sync your notes with each other.  From reading their user manual it 
doesn't appear there's any way to sync with Outlook or Google or any 
other 3rd party applications.  You just create an account and add your 
notes to it - that's it.  Should be fine if notes are all you need.
