Revised Invitation to join:
Communications for householders has become one of the most necessary and
important technology for this day and age. Keeping in touch with family and
friends, finding directions and services, banking and financial
obligations, and even forms of entertainment all depend on this evolving
science. A
science that is changing so fast that some of us will never keep up.
Xp is still the most popular operating system for computers and still
suits many of us, but for some it is not enough. We are now advancing toward
our third Operating System since XP. Windows-8 has since September been
offered to the public for Development Preview, and if predictions run true,
Windows-8 will be offered for sale before next Christmas.
The problem arising, if we get pessimistic, is that possibly before next
Christmas new computers will all be offered using Windows-8. The
advancements and the changes will be staggering. I hope instead we can make it
an
adventure.
Some of us who "play around" with computers, and professionals as well,
have downloaded this new Windows-8 and are attempting to learn enough from
this Developement Preview release so that later, when necessary, we will be
able to help others become more easily adapted. Many have been invited to
begin creating programs special for this new technology. The differences
will amaze.
We have started E-mail Yahoogroups, and some have started blogs or forums,
where people can join and participate in this development. Microsoft is
still offering this Developement Preview version, which can be downloaded,
and we will be ofering input and direction. Be aware of the download size,
2.8GBpersec for 32 bit & 3.6 GBpersec for 64 bit. Installation is simple
and directions are included in our Yahoogroup.
How much I can learn and pass on to others I don't know, and I won't know
until I give it a try. I won't be alone, and I will be seeking
moderators..
