I'm the MacPorts maintainer. As Masayuki says, this is building fine for me out of the box on OS X. However, the Postscript generated remains incompatible with the Adobe distiller, so a2ps output can't easily be printed using lpr on OS X or viewed in OS X's default Postscript viewer (Preview.app) making it of limited practical use on this platform. Because of this, I'm patching it for Macports (currently at 4.13b) as described here: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.printing.a2ps.bugs/2583. Could this patch can't be applied to a2ps at source rather than by me downstream? Does it cause problems on other platforms? -- Mike
