less than 1%. since 95 percent of the fun happens on the gpu, you do not see a 
difference
overall, at least on linux. i provide 64bit there only because it is the 
natural bitwidth of my system
and i can build it without overhead. the GPU is 32bit no matter what bitsize 
the host has.
